Why did you choose Columbia College?
I met with several colleges before I settled on Columbia College. When I met with an advisor the first time, I was impressed with her enthusiasm and encouragement. I really liked the flexibility of being able to choose in-seat classes and online classes, and having a campus so close by when I needed guidance. The advisor staff was amazing, and after speaking with former and current students, I was convinced that Columbia College was where I wanted to earn my education.
What are your plans for the future?
Ultimately I would like to attend graduate school. At the present, I'm hoping to utilize my degree to find a better paying job, and take a couple years of from school. It is also my hope that when I am ready for graduate school, I can continue with Columbia College.
What was your favorite course, and why?
Probably Abnormal Psychology, or the History of Psychology. I also enjoyed British History, and Myths and Mythology. The professors who taught those courses offered so much insight, and were supportive and encouraging. It really made the learning experience fun.
Is there anyone you would like to thank?
Graduating was a team effort, so I couldn't possibly single out specific persons. Both my advisors were supportive, informative, and encouraging. I knew that they would always be there if I needed guidance. Every professor, no matter their style, contributed to making me want to be a better student.
