COAST GUARDColumbia College accepts American Council on Education (ACE) credit recommendations for all evaluated military courses and occupations. 

Columbia College is a member institution of the SOCCOAST Degree Network System.

Evaluation documents

The Coast Guard Institute (CGI) transcript is the required document for the evaluation of Coast Guard credit. The CGI transcript can be accessed by completing this form, through your ESO, or emailing CGI-PF-ed_transcripts@uscg.mil

The Coast Guard in the process of transitioning from the current transcript to the Joint Services Transcript (JST). The JST will allow enlisted servicemembers who advance up-to and beyond officer status to continue to benefit from updated transcripts, in addition to standardizing transcript quality across all branches. The timeline for implementation has not yet been determined. 

Other military documents may be evaluated on a case-by-case basis, but the CGI and JST are the only guaranteed transcripts for evaluation. Contact MSC@ccis.edu with questions. 

Coast Guard Degree Pathways Program (CGDPP)

Columbia College is proud to be one of only seven institutions selected to participate in the Coast Guard Degree Pathways Program, which is designed to help Coast Guard students complete a college degree by utilizing the training and experience gained through their military service.
