Community College of the Air Force (CCAF)

Air ForceThe Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) is a worldwide multi-campus community college established to meet the educational needs of Air Force enlisted personnel. CCAF is regionally accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools/Commission on Colleges (SACSCC) as an occupational educational institution.

Once enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, airmen are automatically enrolled in CCAF and can begin completing the 64 semester hours needed to achieve the Associate in Applied Science degree. Of those 64 semester hours, 49 are achieved through the Air Force; the remaining 15 semester hours of general education must be attained at a civilian institution. At Columbia College, these remaining 15 general education hours can be completed on a flexible, accelerated schedule.

Columbia College is an AU-ABC and GEM partner institution.

Evaluation documents

The Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) transcript is the required document for evaluating Air Force credit. Other military documents may be evaluated on a case-by-case basis, but the CCAF is the only guaranteed transcript for evaluation. Contact MSC@ccis.edu with questions.
