Yellow Ribbon Program at Columbia College
The Yellow Ribbon Program was established by the Post-9/11 Veterans Educational Assistance Act of 2008. This program allows institutions of higher learning to voluntarily enter into an agreement with the VA to fund tuition and fee expenses not covered by the Post- 9/11 GI Bill.
Columbia College proudly supports the GI Bill Yellow Ribbon Program. Students who are 100% qualified for the chapter 33 Post-9/11 GI Bill and meet the VA’s Yellow Ribbon guidelines will be allowed to participate in this program at Columbia College’s main campus for the 2013-2014 school year.
Currently this program is only offered at the main campus in Columbia, Missouri. The full-year (30 credit hours) tuition at our nationwide and online campuses does not exceed the tuition cap established by the VA for activation of the Yellow Ribbon program; consequently Columbia College does not partner with the Yellow Ribbon program at these locations. If at such time the annual tuition at the nationwide or online campuses approaches the Yellow Ribbon activation level, Columbia College will coordinate with the VA to extend the partnership to those locations in the coming academic year.
