Human Resource Management Major

Human resource management covers a very wide variety of jobs within an organization such as recruitment/hiring, employee compensation and benefits, corporate policy, employee assistance programs, and training. HR majors are exposed to and learn the federal laws that cover Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), affirmative action laws, how to conduct performance appraisals, how to deal labor unions, as well as how to conduct employment interviews, the design and conduct of employee training programs, how to administer employee benefit programs, and how to conduct wage and salary audits.
